The kids and I are always being silly and laughing throughout a typical day. We love to dance and sing and just goof off. This particular day was hysterical! I don't know why I get such a kick out of telling my kids to dance to booty shaken music, but it is funny!!!

4 wheeling in the White Mountains

We went 4 wheeling with some of the family, and for those of you who don't know, I have a very big extended family and most of them still live in Alaska. Miguel's family is just as big if not bigger, but they all live in Conn. Anyway, we decided to take just the boys because the babies aren't big enough to hold on yet and we don't have our passenger seats yet, oh well next year ;)

It was their second "big" trip, longer than a trip around the block and they did great and had fun.

Half way through Jace got tired out so I jumped on the back of my aunt's and had my cousin drive mine so Jacey could take a nap while I held him.....funny how kids can sleep just about anywhere!

Miguel kept asking Monkey if he was tired and of course he kept saying no. Finally he said "Daddy, my tywad" and he was out like a light! :)

Alina and I had our first girls day out last week. We went shopping and got her ears pierced! She is such a girly girl. She LOVES shoes and jewelry. She will find a pair of shoes and carry them around the house with her. You should have seen her in the shoe store. You would have sworn she had died and gone to Shoe Heaven! She also prances around the house in her jewelry making sure everyone notices.

Quick update to catch up!

I know I haven't posted blogs regularly, but summers in Alaska are just too busy to sit around on a computer all the time! I have tried my best to update as many blogs as I could, but there is just so much that's happened in these few short summer months that if I do them all I will never catch up. So I will summarize what's been going on lately....

1. Brycee our Cowardly Lion, is now walking! Finally, poor guy was getting left in the dust! He is terrified of everything though and is still not able to go down the stairs, so he gets left upstairs by himself a lot. He is finally coming around to taking baths though. He no longer crys the whole time, so maybe there is some hope for him one day liking the lake.....at least I am hoping so anyway.

2.Camron gave us a huge scare the other day when he got into some lighter fluid. He was rushed by ambulance to the ER where he thankfully progressively got better. It scared the hell out of me though, I really thought that at any minute he would stop breathing. He is fine now and back to his old sneaky little self!

3. The forest fires have been really close to town this year and this last week it was awful. It was like living in a cloud of smoke and the weather was even rated as very unhealthy, almost hazardous! Thankfully we have had rain now and it has cleared up. Hopefully we will end up having a beautiful fall!

4. I've been taking the kids on a lot of bike rides and walks lately, nearly every day, if were not out doing something else and they just absolutely love it!

I told my hubby I wanted him to come up with something so that I could take all the kids for bike rides by myself. It's quite a load, but I am one determined mama! LOL.

On one day we went to Creamers field and the park. That's not overcast in the background, but a layer of smoke covering the city.....that's before it got really bad!

5. "My tickers not ticken like they say it should".....no really my health isn't doing so good though. I found out that I have low vitamin B12.....not a good thing considering the damage low levels can cause to your body. I originally wanted it checked because I have been feeling completely fatigued. Well then I find out that my Aortic and Tricuspid valves have gone from mild to moderate/severe regurgitation. Were in the process of getting a second opinion and to see if the valves can be repaired rather than replaced. I do NOT want to be on a blood thinner for the rest of my life, SCARY! After doing some research I've discovered that my dad who died at 36 did not die of electrical heart problems but instead because of Mitral Valve Regurgitation(same thing I have, just a different valve) I am also starting to find things that show my brother who died at 24, did not die of electrical problems either, but of something structural. This changes the game for me. They died young, very young, so I feel like I am on a time line. Thankfully, I have contact with a great Cardiologist who has contacts with all of the heart Dr.s on the West coast, so he will help me in getting a second opinion and a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, if need be. I will keep you all up to date on what we find out!

6. The kids favorite thing to do is ride the mini 4 wheelers around that my mom bought them. We just hook up the wagon and double up on of the boys with a baby and they all ride around until the 6 batteries we have die, lol! They love it though!

7. I am sure there is so much I forgot and haven't posted, but I just wanted to catch up. Now, were heading into fall. We've got a few trips coming up including White Water Rafting, 4 wheeling in the White Mountains and a camping trip with our friends for Labor Day weekend.....I am so excited about all of it! I will do my best to keep up with the blog as things start to slow down.....wait is that possible with all these kids and heart problems??

We went to Anderson for a night and hung out with our friends. It's a bluegrass festival, which were not into that kind of music, it's just a nice little break. Hopefully next year we will have our motor home so we can start bringing the kids. They have a great fireworks show and I waned to post these pictures because you can see how bad the forest fires have been. The spots on the pics is the debris in the air, it was pretty bad for about a week here!

We took the kids to the Midnight Sun Festival this year. Last year I was laying in the ICU dying of heart failure so we were unable to make it. The kids had a great time.

The Park and the Ducks

Gasp!.....You take all of them to the park by yourself?! LOL, people make me laugh sometimes, okay most of the time. I had a German tourist stop and ask if he could take a picture of my lucky charms and then proceeded to ask me how I felt about Obama and how Italy and Iran want to kill him.....HUH? what does that have to do with my children? Anywho, that was a first experience with the paparazzi. What made it even better was the fact that nothing in the park opened until noon, leaving us as the only attraction for the tourist....and there were quite a few of them. The Carousal operator was dumbfounded that I was able to carry triplets, I mean he just couldn't get over the fact that "I was just so small"....especially compared to his wife who was 6 '1 and couldn't even tell she was pregnant. Ah, of course not! Being 6'1 and carrying 1 child would be nothing like 5'1 and carry 3!....Back on track here, the kids all had a great time and are now asking everyday to ride the horses again!

Fast Boats & Beautiful Motorcycles

We took the kids to the Yukon 800 races, which of course, what kid doesn't love watching fast boats go by, so it was a big hit. A little FYI about the races-(The Yukon 800 Mile Marathon, the grandfather of Alaska’s contemporary endurance races dating back 47 years, is a 2-day high speed riverboat race. Run on the Tanana and Yukon Rivers, traveling through hundreds of miles of vast Alaskan wilderness. It is billed as the longest, roughest and toughest speed boat race in the world.
Competitors live in Fairbanks and communities along the rivers, where they build the low-slung 24 foot long boats from scratch. These race boats are powered with 50 horsepower regulation engines that can reach speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour.
The Yukon 800 begins in Fairbanks in late June, around the time of summer solstice, and finishes after 800 grueling miles the next day back in Fairbanks.)

We also took them to the Harley Rally, where there were tons of Motorcycles and free food. They loved it all, and best of all were well behaved. Could two parents have asked for more? Free food, Free entertainment and well behaved children.....were livin the dream.....okay, maybe just our dream ;)

First to Walk

So Camy boy was the first to walk. He took his first steps about a month ago and has been working on it ever since. He of course looks like a baby drunk, but he tries his best! Alina is taking second place and took her first steps today actually. She is much more stable than the other two though, it's just the confidence she is lacking. So as soon as she gains that she is gonna take off runnin! Bryce on the other hand just doesn't care. He is quite content crawling fast or cruising, so we'll see when he gets to it.

They were too small for their car seats. It was nerve racking taking them out so we pretty much only took them to appointments for the first 6 weeks! This was thier first outing to the Knotty shop for Ice Cream~

My sweet baby doll was born first, weighing 4 lbs 14 oz and was 17 3/4 in tall. She looked like a typical newborn, just a smaller version of one. She came out screaming at the top of her lungs! Funny thing is now, the ONLY time she cries is if she got hurt physically of if one of the boys have hurt her feelings. She's very sweet, cuddly and easy going....probably the happiest baby I've ever seen, besides Bryce ;)! Every time I pick her up she lays her head on my shoulder and cuddles with me. She was the first to crawl and if I am bent down will still come over, pull up and lay her head on my back and sigh.

I always wanted a dark haired, dark skinned, brown eyed, tiny little girl, and I got this blue eyed, blond haired, fair skinned Angel instead!

My sweet sweet Brycee baby was born second, weighing 4 lbs 8 oz and was 17 3/4 in long. He had the most breathing problems compared to his siblings and required c-pap for the first 5 days. This picture is actually the day he was taken off it. He is the most sweet spirited little man I have ever met. I remember the day I walked in to the NICU and saw him for the first time. I said " There is something very serene about him" and the NICU Nurse told me she sensed it too. In this pic you see how skinny he was, but also just how big he is going to one day be by the size of his hands! He just needed a little more time to grow! He is always curiously happy and easily amused. He was the first to clap, wave and sign. He has Brown hair, my hazel eyes and his daddy's dark skin.

My little Cam Cam was born weighing 3 lbs 7 oz and was 16 in tall....a little bigger than a ruler. He was the first one I got to hold in the NICU......it was awesome! He was my little tiny baby doll. He had the typical preemie look, which took him months to grow out of. He came home weighing 3 lbs 11 oz.....not even 4 lbs! But the Dr.s said since he was doing so well, they didn't want to keep him because of his minimal weight. He is such a sweetheart. He gives the cutest looks by scrunchin up his nose, like "I'm so cute". He has beautiful "smiley eyes" according to his Grandma Jen, blond hair and is still the smallest of the 3. He is the first to walk and dance and has an unlimited amount of energy and passion for life!

We had 3 pools for the party and all the kids just loved it. It turned out to be the most beautiful day of the week!

Heart Walk

For those of you who don't know me, I have spent my entire life living with some kind of heart issue. I have had open heart surgery, a defibrillator implanted in my chest, survived heart failure and am now facing the possibility of valve replacement. Believe it or not, none of the issues have anything to do with each other. I always say I have a little of every ones bad heart genes in the family. For the first time, I participated in the Heart Walk this year. I took all the kids and walked with Miguel and the kids adopted Grandma Jo. It was surprisingly an emotional day for me. I wore my read hat, which represents "heart survivor" along with a shirt I had made listing all of my deceased family members and remaining family who are living with some form of heart disease.

Description: Works hard all day and is capable of coming home to not 1, but 2 sets of multiples 3 and under. Immediately begins helping with dinner or distracting the children so mom can finish preparing a meal for 7. Takes older children on 4 wheeler rides every night. After dinner begins "to do list" while multitasking playing with children until bed time. Participates in bathing, changing and preparing children for bed. Assists in trash removal , table clean up, laundry, and dishes. After all is clean and quite, he moves on to the "to do when children are asleep" list, (such as staining doors, painting or hanging new light fixtures). He then goes to sleep around 11:30 and wakes when the alarm goes off around 6 am to return to his paying job. On weekends he plans fun family oriented activities. He also does yard work, plows driveways, fixes vehicles, mows lawns, cleans the house if needed and all other tasks listed above. He can also cook, is a great handyman and randomly brings home flowers "just because".

He's a very involved dad and doesn't wate time on stupid things such as video games~

He's a great role model in teaching the kids how to be responsible~

He's also great at mutitasking~

The price may seem a little unreasonable, but to US, he's priceless! :)~

Attatck of the Crying Babies!~

So here we are, going through another week of the stomach flu(seems like we just did this a couple of months ago). I can deal with pretty much anything and usually go through it with a pretty good attitude, but NOT when I am sick at the same time as the kids(which is a rarity). Today, I thought I was going to loose my mind(not that I have much of one left anyway). I was up all night, very sick, lost 4 lbs over night and the result is a very over tired, dehydrated, fatigued mommy that has to care for 3 sick babies and 2 demanding toddlers. It was not a good day. About an hr before daddy got off work, all hell had really broke loose. The house was a disaster and I couldn't even think with the noise level as loud as it was. Well, as the babies were attacking me (like in one of those horror movies where the dead start attacking the live), I thought, "I have to escape and I have to do it quickly". So, I climbed over the back of the couch, grabbed my camera, snapped a picture of "pure chaos" that was causing my "temporary insanity", for proof, in case I had completely lost it before the secondary care giver had returned home from work. I figured, if I had the proof, I may actually have a fighting chance in court to get them back from child services when I regained my sanity. But just before leaving my "I quit" note on the door, I came to my senses.....I grabbed a box of Cheerios, threw them on the floor to feed the raging wolves(like I told you, I wasn't in my usual frame of mind) turned Barney up as loud as I could bare(that purple dinosaur has helped me more times than you know) and laid on the floor so they would all stop screaming they could all get the individual attention they needed....need I say more? . As for now, Alina and Cam are still sick with random vomiting and I only had to put Cam in the tub 4 times today for his awful diaper rash, poor baby! Thankfully we are all here and have made it through yet another, Vomit Fest!

I found the perfect table! It's a beautiful counter height table, made of solid Birch wood and fits anywhere from 4-8 people. There are 4 side leafs that fold down individually and tuck away conveniently. When the leafs are extended it is a large round table and when folded down it becomes a square pub table. But you can leave some up, some down, etc. The possibilities are endless! You are probably wondering why I would be so excited about a table, right? Well, eating at the table together is something that is very important to us. It's our time to connect at the end of long, busy, crazy, chaotic days and a place we gather to start off our fun filled weekends.

This is our patio set that we used for the first 6 months we lived in this house. It worked great for us, but the babies were constantly standing underneath of it screaming at dinner time to be a part of what was going on up top. It's now where it belongs on the deck and thankfully we have built in seating around the deck which allows us to all sit at it on warm days.
I had a bunch of really cute pictures of the kids first time sitting at the table, but apparently I didn't upload them before I emptied my picture card. Anyway, they were so cute and so excited to be a part of what was going on! Cam was so content you didn't hear a peep out of him and he just kept this "I'm such a big boy now" look on his face. Alina just kept smiling and couldn't get her finger foods in her mouth fast enough. Bryce had to check things out by looking under the table, through the back of the chair and feeling the one next to him~

We took a walk to Creamers Field so all the kids could see the birds that have returned for the summer(they really do fly south all winter from here).

Alina, Bryce and Camron with their friends Ciana, Camden and Colten, one of the other sets of triplets born in 2008 in Fairbanks. They usually only happen here once every 7 years, but in 2008 there were 3 sets born(in all of Alaska), all resulting in 2 boys, 1 girl. Each set has 2 blue eyed babies and 1 brown eyed baby and gives each of their mothers only 1 girl.

We like to take walks around the neighborhood, and of course we put on a show. Tonight we had everything from stares, laughing, pointing, clapping and even had someone come back around for a second look. While we were pointing at the people on the motorcycle, they were pointing at us, and had to come back and see the Act up close and personal.

We took the kids to the Knotty Shop this weekend. It's the best place you can get homemade Ice Cream in Alaska! It's a little tourist attraction and boy did those tourist get a little more sight seeing then they were expecting.....all eyes were on the "people over there who have twins AND triplets".

No need to worry about this little girl. She is one tough cookie already! She's such a sweetheart and very easy going, although you wouldn't know it from first seeing her. Most of the time she is straight faced starin you down, but the moment she does smile, her whole face lights up....then it's right back down to business! No need for given out these precious smiles for free! She can hold her own and often puts the boys in their place. You can usually find her taking toys from them and will even crawl over to snatch a pacifier out of Cam or Bryce's mouth and crawl off with it in her own, all while given them a "what's your problem you big baby" look. The Deck

In my opinion, having a deck in Alaska is a must! It's a true necessity and an extender to our very short summer season. As you can see in the background we still have massive amounts of snow still melting from winter. But because of our deck we are able to enjoy being outdoors where the kids can play while we grill and relax. We spend nearly every day outdoors.

Bryce's first bubble experience~

The three things I hear all day long is "bow bubbas mama, bow mow bubbas"..... "wanna wide wed nomacine mama, wanna wide daddy's wed nowmacine!"(red snowmachine)......weddo wide, wanna wide weddo wide wit daddy mama!"(yellow 4 wheeler).....ALL DAY LONG!!! When Miguel comes home for lunch or after work they yell at him "Poo Poo Potty Daddy!!!!" the moment he walks in the door, then it's on to the ridding the toys and hounding him about it, just as they do to me.

Last ride of the season, putting the sleds away. Now all we hear is "when dars gween gwass wide detski"....I think were going to sell all the toys....

Jadon being a typical boy always thinking of crazy things to try. He is constantly covered in cuts and bruises, already has holes in his jeans at the age of 3 and thinks farts are funny.....hmmm, a lot like someone else I know, only there's 29 years between them...

Arctic Man 2009

For those of you who don't know what Arctic Man is, it's an event that happens every year in Alaska in April. The event becomes the 3rd largest city in Alaska for one week, where about 15,000 people gather for snowmachining, snowboarding, skiing, snow cross, races and 1 huge party! There is nothing like it! Next year we are hoping to start bringing the kids.

ANCHORAGE TRIP

Okay, so I don't like the way this blog is degrading the quality of my pictures from my brand new camera!! Anyway, this is the trip to Anchorage for Jadon and Bryce's heart check-ups. Everything went great and both of the boys will have follow ups next year and the following.

Now, I just have one question and maybe someone out there can help me figure this out. Why, do the airlines give parents of small children "extra time" to board the plane?? I mean, the moment you walk past them they announce to all other passengers to begin boarding. Hello! I've got a stroller to break down, 2 car seats to strap in and a toddler to buckle in along with making sure bottles, sippy cups, snacks and toys are easily accessible, UNLESS the entire plane wants screaming children during the flight! I just want to know.....where is my extra time at?

Excuse us, "wide load" coming through(and I'm not talking about my butt)~

Just 2? No problem!~ I constantly had people saying "you sure have your hands full", to which I just smiled and thought, "you have no idea! I'm on vacation here people!". The funniest(but not surprising) part of the trip was the last day when I had my girlfriends daughter, who is 13 months old with me and the boys. I decided to take the kids out to eat while my girlfriend worked to a restaurant and then out for some shopping. Upon entering the restaurant a young girl(all of 18, now that I am old at 28(sigh) was cleaning the window from the inside. I had an over sized diaper bag over my shoulder along with a car seat, a toddler in the other arm all while holding the hand of my 3 year old. Now, do you think this girl had the common sense to open the door for me? OF COURSE NOT! Instead, she smiled at me as I approached the door and then turned and walked in the opposite direction! As I reached for the door with my FREE HAND, I just sighed, since I was unable to shrug my shoulders from the load I was carrying.

Some of you may be shocked that someone would not offer to help, but this has actually happened to me on several occasions. The one time it caught me off guard was when I attended Church by myself one night when Miguel was in school. Now, when you have 5 little kids you have to be creative in how you get them all from point A to point B, without leaving anyone by themselves. So I unloaded the boys, grabbed the diaper bag and picked up all 3 car seats(something I used to do frequently) and headed for the door. As we were walking, a man came along the side of us and began asking questions...."wow, that's a lot of kids, are they all yours?"......I continued to amuse him with my circus act as the walk was pretty far from the door. 10 questions later I began to see the situation as strikingly odd. Here I am at 5'1 carrying over 100 lbs of babies and gear walking next to a man at 6 ft and nearly 200 lbs and do you think that he offered to carry ANYTHING for me? NOPE! Just kept on walkin and talkin. Ugh! So we finally reach the door where he held it open for me, to which at that point I thought "don't bother asshole".....but quickly realized that going to church with that kind of attitude wasn't a very good idea. Instead I smiled, thanked him and prayed...."Lord please bless him.....and not with triplets ;)

On my birthday at Red Robin's with Jadon~

He couldn't get enough of Robin and kept asking where "Big Bird" was. Now if your wondering why I have my 3 year old in jammies at a restaurant, it's because he threw up on him self on the flight down and when I searched threw the suitcase for the extra pair of jeans I packed for him, I suddenly realized that his very structured brother whom has to have his favorite jeans, removed them from the pile of "things to be packed"..... Thankfully, there was a Soldier heading back to Iraq sitting next to me whom had just flown up to Alaska with his 2 year old daughter and was very understanding and even offered to hold Bryce for me. So, as I placed my infant in this strangers arms, I thought, if he can save the lives of our men and women, my sons life is safe with him as we go in for landing.....then I reached over with the stupid little popcorn sized bag to help my projectile vomiting 3 yr old as we landed.

The boys had their first day of preschool today. It seems like just yesterday I was in school. It really does fly by too fast! They did great though and surprisingly jumped in like they've been attending it for years now. Maybe it's because of all the talks I have had with them over the last few months, they've been so excited about it. They didn't even want to stop for a pic outside, they just wanted to "go to school!" They warmed up quickly though and Jace was completely comfortable even teasing his teacher about stuff. Their teacher is great and everyone raves about how good this school is which makes me feel at ease. It seems like yesterday when I saw them for the first time. I remember them holding Jadon up and thinking "He looks just like me!" and then there was my sweet chunky Jacey at nearly 8 lbs with a little grumpy look on his face saying "Why'd ya take me out? I was eating quite well in there!" ....uh-huh, who doesn't love coconut cream pie?!

The first night I got to spend with the boys. They were my sleeping angels~

One of my favorites of them, I hope they are always this close!~

I remember this night clearly. They were so beautiful I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. This was the night I began hemmoraghing and because of how cute they looked, it's probably what saved my life by keeping me awake long enough to know what was going on.

1st birthday- Now that's how you eat a cake!~

On their second birthday, Jadon Broke his foot and was in a cast up to his thigh. That was tough! I was pregnant with the triplets and measuring full term while I had to carry a 35 lb toddler around for 6 weeks on top of the load I was already carrying!

Here they are on their 3rd birthday, do you see a theme here? Everyday all day, they insist on running naked through the house, I am constantly fighting them over it. Miguel always says they are going to join a nudist colony someday.

They love to stand on the back of the couch in our large living room window and wave goodbye to whomever leaves. The bad part is when I have to call my husband from the driveway and say, "Can you please get the naked children out of the window?!"

Nothing like a little chocolate powdered milk to end a birthday with, right?

The Sitting Teethers are Crawling!!!

Watch out now! The babies are on the move! All of them! Which means I have about 2 days to get this place baby proofed! With 5 of them terrorising this house and only one of me, I am surly in trouble! They are all sitting unassisted and Bryce has popped 2 teeth in the last week, while the other 2 still smile the same ol', cute toothless grins. A lot is happening right now and I am just trying to keep up and enjoy it because it's flying by way to fast! They are so stinkin cute, you can't help but want to just kiss on their squishy little cheeks!! I can't resist 'em anyway! This is one of those stages that I would recommend EVERYONE have triplets! HA!.....although the carrying process ain't so much fun, they are OH SO WORTH IT!!! I have been looking forward to this stage for a while now.....am I crazy, yes probably.

Ice Sledding

I took the kids to the Ice Park today. It was a lot of fun and the perfect time to go, since most people don't know it's open yet. Jadon absolutely loved it and said nothing but "more, more, more" the entire time we were there. Jace on the other hand insisted on going down without a sled and walked around with a grumpy face the whole time. But of course, me being the mean mama that I am, I made Jace ride down with me in a sled. When Grandma asked him if he had fun, he cried "yeeeeesss", as if it was the most painful thing he had ever been through. But my theory on life is, almost everything is worth trying once, because if you don't, you'll never know what you could be missing out on. Overall it was a great, warm, beautiful day out with the kids and friends!

Babies first Super Bowl Party

Every year we go to our friends annual Super Bowl Party. They've been having one for about 30 years now and it's a blast! There's crazy amounts of food, beer, TVs and more food! Lots of people and kids running wild. Not to mention the noise level is surprisingly louder than my house usually is. Plus there are $2, $5, $10 & $20 boards, none of which we won on tonight and spent a good amount of money on.....but we won't highlight on that since we had a great time and the game was great this year by the way! The kids did very well though and the babies are finally getting into the groove of being a part of our family. We are the kind of parents that take our kids almost everywhere, even when it would be easier to just give in to their crying and protesting of not wanting to sleep somewhere unfamiliar. Like I said before, we have been having issues with our home. We just bought the house a couple of months ago. We usually spend the evenings after the kids are asleep fixing it up, painting it and what not. Lately it seems as though we are just trying to maintain it! This is a picture of the babies room where after a leaking valve from the upstairs bathroom damaged the sheet rock.

What started out as this~

Turned into an entire wall being ripped out, half the ceiling and part of the bathroom wall~

I had to put the babies in with the boys in their room because I couldn't get the cribs out of the door. I only had 1 pack-n-play here(the other 2 were at Grandma's) and the one I did have was being stored under the crib which was where all of the water damage was, so it was airing out. I put the crib mattresses on the floor in the boys room and put the gate system around them, which of course the boys climbed and thought it was fun to jump on the mattresses with the babies on them. I spent most of the night awake checking on the babies, which brought back horrible memories of when they weren't sleeping through the night, yikes! Anyway, thankfully we have all of the pnp's up and in use and everything is flowing again.

I also have a couple of prayer request for all of you believers.....My brother-n-law just lost his brand new baby girl. Please pray for him and his family. After being at 40 below for several weeks now, it feels like summer outside! That's because it has warmed up over 80 degrees in less than a week here and it is freakin awesome!!!!! For those of you who have never been to Alaska, Fairbanks has the widest temperature span in the world, ranging from 66 below in the winter and can get up to 100 degrees in the summer! I am so ready for summer to be here I can hardly wait! Today was the babies first walk outside(other than going to appointments). It was great, granted we looked like a circus act, but I don't care! I won't be house bound with 5 kids, so out we will go! I pushed a double with a wagon tied to my waste and my friend Bry pushed a double with her son packed on her back.....

Today was a great day in the Borges household! We spent it at the Play Place with friends, then went to Great Grandma's and finally ended it at home where the boys FINALLY poo'd in the potty! The journey towards potty training has finally come to an end with them and they are officially Big Boys! YAY! Now we only have 3 in diapers!!!

I woke up this morning not ready to get out of bed, to find all 5 kids having had exploding butt......you know the kind that is up the back, up the front and down the legs. First things first, the boys are thrown into the tub and as it filled I ran down to change the babies out of their ca-ca filled clothes too. After I changed Camron, I had to run back upstairs to check on the boys, who were sitting in water full of floating poo.....it was a little more than I can bare so I took them out, let the tub drain, cleaned it out and refilled it before running back down to take care of baby # 2.....then back up stairs to the fighting children, to get Jace out of the tub and dressed. Last but not least was Alina, who being the sweetheart that she is, didn't make a peep while laying in her sopping clothes that smelled like rotten fish guts......I just don't get it, all they eat is baby oatmeal and baby fruit.....how can you create such a vomit provoking bowel movement?? While setting up the babies with their bottles(yes, I am one of THOSE bottle propping mama's), I could hear Jadon's very familiar "I'm getting in trouble" laugh and thought "well the bathroom floor needs to be cleaned anyway".....I returned to find that Jadon so very kindly dumped half of the tub onto the bathroom floor.....oh well, what's one more mess when you have 50 to clean up during the day anyway? And no, I don't usually have my toddlers taking a bath by themselves on one floor, while I attend to babies on another.....we are having issues with our house, and the tub downstairs is the least of our problems. As if Miguel's plate isn't full enough already, being the sole provider for 9 people and going to school 3 days a week, with a 4th day added in during the vomit fest, a broken car heater, an overdue oil change, electrical issues and a leaking pipe at 40 below, is just a few too many things if you ask me. Well, not all was bad last week. I did win $100 at Bingo.....although I did have to split it with some Cancer Seeking Individual in the Smoking Section. I mean what's wrong with that lady.....doesn't she know we have 7 little mouths to feed, sheesh! For those of you who don't know, Miguel has 10 year old twin daughters from a previous marriage.....and no, he is not a Multiple Making God. All of the kids are fraternal, meaning more than one egg was produced, which means they can only be caused by the mother's body. Okay, so now that we're done with that little lesson on Fertility 101, let's move on to a picture....This is the reason I shouldn't be on the computer while the kids are awake. But thankfully, right now I have the babies in jumpers, while the babysitter(tv) watches the boys.....so that I can fill all of you lovely people in on my oh so wonderful, aren't you jealous of me and my chaos filled life.

While I was on the computer a couple of days ago, the boys we're a little to impatient while waiting for the Pizza, so they decided to help themselves to the uncooked Pizza.....

One of my very best friends has a 4 year old daughter. She is a sweetheart and very well mannered. A few months ago they came to visit and before leaving she says to her mom "Can we take the pink one home Mommy?" (Thus the reason for my blog title) I absolutely love the innocence of a child. They say things from their heart, never worrying about what someone may think of them. Recently the boys have been much more expressive and have started expanding their vocabulary. I was watching a show the other day and a commercial came on with a crazy dinosaur chasing kids around a birthday party. Jadon turned and said "uh-oh mama what happen?" and just today he was watching a Scholastic preschool video where a rooster was taking a walk and the fox was chasing him. Jadon wanted to know what the fox was doing. It just made me realize that the boys are growing out of the toddler stage. They want to know everything and are constantly asking what things are and why they are happening. It makes me sad, but I know it's part of life. I have this huge fear that it's all going to go by way to fast.....although, I am trying to be present and enjoy it. On a funnier note.....I got out of the shower the other day and Jace walks in the room and yells "MAMA BIG BUTT!" Ah.....just another sore reminder that I need to get my big ol butt back on the treadmill! Then I was changing Alina's diaper and of course he wants to know where her "wee-wee" was.....a few seconds later he yells out "DADDY BIG WEE-WEE" for no reason at all.....I guess it's about time to stop letting them see us naked after showers huh? Sometimes I don't know where they come up with the things they do!

Well, we made it out of the house yesterday and over to a friends house. On our way, the sun was out so I decided to take a detour around town so I could enjoy the very little amount of sun we have this time of year while the kids napped. Every time I would enter a dense patch of ice fog, I found myself saying "don't leave me" to the setting sun.....it was a very desperate moment, but I enjoyed every minute of it to say the least. We finally arrived at my girlfriends house and got everyone unloaded.....it's quite a task unloading and loading 5 kids at -40, which is the reason we don't get out often right now. Anyway.....we hadn't even been there but 5 min and Camron was being cranky. I could suddenly feel is tiny tummy going into spasms and I rushed him to the toilet as I new what was next to come. Thankfully everything made it in the toilet, as I held his mere 15 lb body over the bowl. I walked back into the living room where the carpet was covered in vomit. I saw that Alina was missing along with my girlfriend and I thought "Dear God is this ever going to end?!" Nope, today's not the end in site either.....Jace had just finished sharing a pack of m&m's with me and suddenly starts in with his whiny "I'm going to be sick" cry(funny how as a mom you know what's wrong with your child by the sound of their cry) and as he cries "mouth, mouth", we run to the bathroom where he thankfully made it just in time. Well, maybe tomorrow will be the day? Until then, we are off to play Bingo tonight, with our unmarried, childless friends who remind us of what freedom is.....

It's -40 and I haven't left the house in 6 days!

That's 40 below.....not minus 40, you don't say plus 40 do you? Of course not.....

So, like I was saying, its freakin cold in this "Great state of Alaska".....as Gov Palin would say.....and although on an average day I would agree, I beg to differ being that we have been at these temps for almost 2 weeks now and I have not left my house in 6 days! Yes, I am going a little crazy! On top of that, the kids and I have all been very sick with a stomach virus. I have never seen so much vomit and diarrhea in my life.....and just when I think we are all finally over it, Alina projectile vomits across the room. Yuck, yuck, yuck.....if it's one thing I can't stand it's being thrown up on and the smell of diapers that make you want to vomit yourself!(and yes they've made me). I know a lot of you are laughing and thinking "suck it up, there's a lot more of that to come" Well, ewww, it's still completely disgusting to me and so not what I signed up for, that's what nurses do! Okay, well maybe I didn't read the fine print on the fertility drugs and yes, I am a little bitter that I am not being paid to clean it up.....BUT, I am ready to order a gas mask and one of those white hazardous material outfits on EBAY. Anyway, I've had enough of this being trapped with 5 wild monkeys for far too long now, so I am venturing out into the frozen north for the next 2 days with all of the kids in tow.....please say a little prayer that we come back with all 50 fingers and toes.
